Almost every time I see photos of Kerry these days, he's involved in some type of athletic activity like throwing a football, skiing, or bicycle riding. Clearly, the Kerry people have some research indicating a danger that Kerry might be seen as old, sickly, or morose. Hence all these photo ops depicting Kerry's athletic vigor and vitality. I suppose these images also supports the meme about Kerry being an aggressive fighter.
Maybe a decent strategy, but in my opinion it's getting kind of ridiculous. Next they'll have him in a decathlon.
It reminds me of Clinton poll-testing with Dick Morris about where he should take his family vacation. Great photo-ops resulted of Clinton horseback riding and generally appearing like some rugged individualist. But of course, it's ultimately all bullsh-t.
